About Me

My name is David Albaugh, aka The Bug Guy. I received this nickname from students after doing classroom presentations on Entomology (see the link for The Bug Guy on this page). I have been a lifelong lover of insects, starting collecting at around the age of seven (sometime in 1974). In addition to doing classroom presentations and having a private collection, I also put together customized collections of insects for private collectors, schools and offices (see the BUGS, Etc. link on this page).

If you ever have questions or needs concerning Entomology feel free to e-mail me at any time. Something new I will be doing is adding two new informational sections, one on butterfly gardening and one on raising your own butterflies and moths. I hope the new site and all of its improvements are to your liking. Keep in mind that I will do my best to update this site on a regular basis, time permitting. Updates may be rarer during the spring/summer months since this is when I am busy raising lepidoptera and working in my butterfly gardens.
